In July, the province fulfilled the strategically significant tasks. Particularly, the Bac Ninh Urban Master Plan until 2050, with a vision to 2075 was approved by Prime Minister.

Bac Ninh province was recognized as meeting the criteria for a first-class urban area by the Ministry of Construction. The Government approved the proposal to establish Bac Ninh as a centrally run city.

The province continued achieving positive results in socio-economic development in July.

Remarkably, its index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 20.61 percent compared to the same period last year while the industrial production value was estimated at 292 trillion VND (11.2 billion USD), a surge of 16.21 percent.

The total retail sales of goods were estimated at 10.3 trillion VND (396.6 million USD), up 26.86 percent. The import-export turnover was estimated at 21.2 billion USD in July and tally 128.2 billion USD in 7 months, up 34.7% against the same period.

Investment attraction continued to be a highlight with the total investment capital reaching 4 billion USD in July and 13.85 billion USD in 7 months. Of which, its foreign direct investment (FDI) secured the 4th position nationwide.

The state budget revenue reached 61.3 trillion VND (2.3 billion USD), equivalent to 84.7 percent of the year’s estimation.

In agricultural sector, spring crop production reached 101.3 percent of the target. Diseases affecting crops and livestock were effectively controlled.

Revenue from lychee production and related supporting services was estimated at more than 9 trillion VND (346.5 million USD), up 44.2 percent compared to 2025.

Socio-cultural sector received continuous attention. Social welfare policies and benefits for national contributors were implemented comprehensively and in a timely manner.

Administrative reform and digital transformation continued to be advanced, while national defense and security were firmly ensured. Traffic accidents decreased in all three indicators compared to the same period of the previous year.

Speaking at the meeting, PPC Chairman Pham Hoang Son urged the departments, agencies and localities to pay highest attention to the growth targets in the final months while reviewing total criteria to work out concrete solutions with clearly designated responsible agencies and individuals, well-defined tasks, explicite accountability, specific implementation timelines and measurable performance outcomes.

He added that it is necessary to stimulate growth in every sector, promote tangible improvements in construction and agriculture, accelerate development of trade and services.

The provincial leader also urged to maximize budget revenues and call for efforts to surpass the budget revenue target by the highest rate.

Besides, the participants considered and gave opinions on some other important contents at the meeting.

Bac Ninh builds regional transport links, promotes multimodal logistics

Bac Ninh approves 828-unit social housing project in Phuong Lieu ward

BAC NINH - Authorities in Northern province of Bac Ninh have approved an investment policy and appointed Galaxis JSC as the developer of a social housing project in Phuong Lieu Ward, with a total estimated investment of more than 1.553 trillion VND (about 59.1 million USD). The project will provide around 828 social housing apartments.

Proposals on establishment of Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh cities to be submitted to legislature

Presenting the Government’s proposals, Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Tien Hai said the establishment of the two cities and Bac Ninh’s 12 wards has met all political and legal requirements. The proposals are also consistent with the national master plan, plans on the urban and rural system and the Red River Delta region, provincial plans, and general urban planning schemes.
