Bac Ninh plants 11,260 hectares of concentrated forests, exceeding annual target
BAC NINH - Bac Ninh city planted 900 hectares of concentrated forests in September, bringing the total area planted since the start of 2026 to 11,260 hectares, or 112.6% of the annual target, according to local authorities.
The new forests were planted mainly in Deo Gia, Kien Lao, Duong Huu, Van Son and Yen The communes.

During the same period, localities planted 390,000 scattered trees, converted 101 hectares of small-timber plantations into large-timber forests and tended 1,862 hectares of planted forests.
The number of scattered trees planted since the beginning of the year has reached 3.13 million, equivalent to 146.2% of the annual target, while 22,819 hectares of planted forests have been managed and maintained.
The conversion of small-timber plantations into large-timber forests has been prioritised to extend production cycles and improve forest productivity, quality and economic value.
Since the beginning of the year, 1,841 hectares have been converted to large-timber forests.
Under its 2026 plan, Bac Ninh aims to plant 10,000 hectares of concentrated forests and 2.73 million scattered trees.
For the full year, concentrated forest planting is estimated to reach 14,000 hectares, or 140% of the target, while about 4 million scattered trees are expected to be planted, reaching around 146.5% of the target.
The expansion and improvement of forest cover are expected to enhance forest quality and forestry production value while contributing to environmental protection and climate change response.
