Chairman of Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Pham Hoang Son held talks with a delegation from Baran International led by its International CEO Asher Tzur on August 24 to discuss potential cooperation and investment opportunities.

Baran International, part of Israel’s Baran Group, has expertise in engineering and project management across water supply and drainage, energy, transport, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, healthcare and national infrastructure.

The company provides services ranging from engineering consultancy, design and planning to procurement and project management.

Baran International said it was looking for opportunities to cooperate with Vietnam and local authorities on infrastructure development and proposed further discussions on mechanisms and conditions for investing in suitable projects in Bac Ninh.

At the meeting, PPC Chairmam Pham Hoang Son said Bac Ninh, located in a northern growth corridor linking Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, had become one of Vietnam’s leading manufacturing centres for electronics, chips and semiconductors.

The province has a population of about 4 million, with young workers accounting for 52%, and is home to major investors including Samsung, Luxshare and Amkor, helping to develop an electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.

“Bac Ninh wants to strengthen cooperation with Baran International, particularly in sectors where the company has strengths, such as data centres, healthcare, high technology and agricultural processing,” Son said.

The province is developing modern infrastructure, including Gia Binh Airport, whose first phase is expected to begin operations in early 2027, he said.

Bac Ninh also sees potential for cooperation in applying technology to the processing and preservation of agricultural products, particularly lychees.

The province is ready to facilitate investment by supporting land access, administrative procedures and incentives in line with regulations, he said, urging the two sides to turn potential cooperation into specific investment projects.

The provincial leader assigned the provincial Industrial Parks Management Board and Department of Finance to work with Baran International to identify investment opportunities, survey potential sites and facilitate investment links.

On the occation, the PPC Chairman also presented Phu Lang pottery, a traditional craft product from Bac Ninh, to the visiting delegation.
