The Vietnam Fine Arts Association, in coordination with Quang Ninh province, opened the exhibition on August 18.

The exhibition features 200 paintings and sculptures by 200 artists who are members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, as well as members and collaborators of literary and arts associations from provinces and cities in the Red River Delta, including Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh and Hai Phong.

The Bac Ninh Literary and Arts Association is represented by 47 artists with 47 works.

The art council awarded two B prizes, with no A prize, one C prize and five honourable mentions.

Bac Ninh's B prize went to artist Vu Cong Tri for his work Amphibious World, while artist Do Ngoc Quan received an honourable mention for Flowers of the Fields.

Artist Luu Xuan Khuyen's work A Mother's Love was selected for consideration for an award from the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

The exhibition will run through September 3 at the Quang Ninh Provincial Museum and Library.

Exhibition space features quintessence of Bac Ninh cultural heritage
