Bac Ninh provincial leader meets South Korea’s Seojin System
BAC NINH – The Chairman of Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Pham Hoang Son on January 15 met with a delegation from South Korea’s Seojin System Group, led by its Chairman Jun Dong Kyu, to discuss plans to expand the group’s investment in the northern province.
Jun Dong Kyu said Seojin System, founded in 1996 in South Korea, specializes in precision metal components and aluminum die casting, particularly parts for automobiles and electric vehicles. The group is part of global supply chains and partners with several major international corporations.

In Bac Ninh, Seojin System has implemented eight investment projects since 2011, starting with the Seojin System Vina plant. The projects are located both inside and outside industrial parks, with total registered capital of about 904.3 million USD and a combined land area of 56.31 hectares. Seven of the projects are currently in operation, employing around 11,000 workers.
The group plans to further expand its presence in the province and expressed hope for continued support from local authorities. He proposed that Seojin be allowed to invest in, build and operate infrastructure at the Yen Son–Bac Lung industrial park.

In the near term, Seojin plans to establish a new legal entity in Bac Ninh in January 2026 to invest in a high-tech manufacturing plant producing three main product lines: robots, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and energy storage systems for export to the United States. The project would have total investment of about 380 million USD.
Welcoming the delegation, PPC Chairman Pham Hoang Son said the visit reflected Seojin System’s strong interest in and long-term commitment to the province, contributing to closer investment ties between Bac Ninh and South Korean businesses.

The provincial leader informed that following administrative restructuring, Bac Ninh now ranks as Vietnam’s fifth-largest provincial economy. Of the 36 industrial parks established in the province, 23 are currently operational, hosting more than 2,900 secondary investment projects.
Major global groups such as Samsung, Amkor, Canon, Luxshare and Foxconn are among the investors, playing a key role in the province’s economic growth.
In 2025, Bac Ninh was among Vietnam’s leading localities in attracting foreign direct investment, underscoring its position as a reliable investment destination. The provincial Chairman reaffirmed the province’s commitment to accompanying and providing maximum support to investors to ensure smooth and effective project implementation.
The provincial leader praised Seojin System’s serious and effective investment performance in Bac Ninh over the years. Regarding the proposed expansion of the Yen Son–Bac Lung industrial park in Bac Lung commune, he assigned the provincial industrial parks management board to work with relevant departments to guide the group through required procedures in line with regulations.
He also said Bac Ninh highly welcomed the proposed 380 million USD high-tech project and hoped it would be implemented and put into operation soon.
The PPC Chairman stressed that the province consistently views the success of investors as its own success, and pledged to maintain a transparent, stable and efficient investment environment while promptly addressing difficulties faced by businesses.
On the occasion, the PPC Chairman Pham Hoang Son presented Jun Dong Kyu with a traditional Dong Ho folk painting as a souvenir.
