Bac Ninh provincial Party Chief Nguyen Hong Thai grasps production situation, addresses businesses’ obstacles
BAC NINH- Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee (PPC) of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Hong Thai on August 20 had working sessions with some domestic enterprises, who are vendors of foreign direct investment (FDI) companies to grasp their production and business situation and seek solutions to remove obstacles facing businesses.
The working sessions were also attended by Mai Son, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

The provincial Party Chief and the delegates visited SMP Holdings Company in Hap Linh industrial cluster. The company has been Samsung’s tier-1 vendor for years and supplied auxiliary products for more than 80 FDI enterprises, including global corporations.
The company currently has 2 factories with a total investment of 50 million USD, employing about 4,000 workers. It is expected to earn a revenue of 42 million USD this year.
The company is striving to lead Vietnam’s high-tech electronic sector and deeply involve in the global supply chain. It is targeted to earn revenue of around 330 million USD and employ 30,000 workers by 2030.
On the same day, the delegation visited IL SUNG TECH joint stock company, Namu Vietnam joint stock company and Vin international company limited in Hap Linh industrial cluster, Hap Linh ward.
At the working session, the enterprises suggested the provincial government promote its role as a bridge between domestic enterprises and FDI corporations operating in the province.
Besides, the province was expected to provide policies to support qualified domestic enterprises in presenting and promoting their capabilities to FDI corporations, assist businesses in completing science and technology dossiers and shorten time and procedures for project approvals.
They also recommended incentive policies for domestic enterprises to participate in value chains and prioritize them to approach human resources.
Representatives of related departments and agencies discussed and answered some questions concerning the enterprises on supporting policies for science and technology companies, tax policies and related contents.
The provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai highly spoke on the efforts and congratulated the production and business achievements of the enterprises.
Besides, he called on domestic businesses to strengthen cooperation with FDI enterprises in vocational training, human resource supply and development.
He also urged them to provide greater support for Bac Ninh students during their studies at universities in the province.
Regarding support for establishment of science and technology companies, he requested competent agencies to communicate and disseminate the province’s guidelines and policies to businesses community to gain consensus in implementation.
In their development strategy, businesses need to attach importance to technology innovation without using outdated technologies that may pose environmental pollution risks.
Regarding young entrepreneurs, he called for continued efforts to review and expand the participation of these enterprises in supply chains, gradually enhance their capabilities, competitiveness and standing, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of local economy.
