Bac Ninh Red Cross launches 80-day community action campaign
BAC NINH – The Bac Ninh Red Cross Society has launched an 80-day campaign titled “80 Days of Action for the Community” to mark the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, which was established on November 23, 1946.
The campaign, under the message “80 Years – 80 Days – Spreading Actions for the Community”, aims to mobilise Red Cross organisations, members and volunteers to carry out practical humanitarian activities across the city.

During the campaign, Red Cross organisations at all levels will strive to implement three humanitarian projects or models, either completing existing initiatives or launching new ones. They will also identify and promote two community-focused innovations.
The campaign will include activities under the theme “80 Years of Connecting Lives – Spreading Life-saving Skills”, with a focus on voluntary blood donation, encouraging people to register for organ and tissue donation, providing first-aid and emergency care training, and promoting community healthcare.
All commune- and ward-level Red Cross organisations are expected to carry out at least one practical activity tailored to local needs and conditions. Each Red Cross official, member, volunteer and young participant is encouraged to undertake at least one act of kindness during the campaign.
Priority will be given to initiatives supporting livelihoods, repairing homes, helping disadvantaged students, caring for older people, people with disabilities and patients, assisting residents affected by natural disasters, improving living conditions and mobilising resources for people in difficult circumstances.
Through the campaign, the Bac Ninh Red Cross Society aims to shift humanitarian support from one-off assistance towards needs-based aid, helping beneficiaries strengthen their resilience and develop sustainable livelihoods.
The campaign also seeks to reinforce the Red Cross Society’s role as a key organisation and bridge in mobilising, coordinating and effectively using social resources for humanitarian activities.
