PPC permanent Vice Chairman Mai Son on September 15 hosted a meeting to review the implementation results of the people’s assistant application and the digital communication platform between the Bac Ninh provincial government and citizens and businesses (iBacNinh).

The event was also attended by representatives of related departments, agencies, localities piloting implementation of the application and the solution providers.

After nearly 2 months of piloting in 3 stages, the application has been launched in 5 communes and wards including Hiep Hoa, Bac Giang, Nam Son, Song Lieu and Phuong Lieu, dealing with over 2,200 dossiers.

To date, 60 administrative procedures have been configured in the system including 44 procedures under authority of communal-level government and 16 provincial-level procedures.

The application has initially demonstrated its ability to automatically recognize documents, fill in electronic forms, verify required dossier components and assist document attachments.

In Bac Giang ward, the time required to complete a dossier has decreased from 8 to10 minutes to just 2 or 3 minutes, helping reduce the workload for civil servants and minimize cases of incomplete dossiers.

The voice-assisted version applied in Hiep Hoa commune has been used for more than 26 percent of dossiers, demonstrating its capacity to support the elderly and those who are less familiar with digital environment.

Based on factual results, the Office of the provincial People’s Committee recommended expanding the pilot of people’s assistant application at the public administration service centers of all 99 communes and wards across the province.

Speaking at the meeting, PPC Vice Chairman Mai Son highly appreciated the initial results of the people’s assistant application with prominent advantages such as reduction of processing time in dealing with administrative procedures, not requiring significant investment costs nor complicated training and allowing immediate implementation.

In order to pilot this application in all 99 communes and wards, the provincial leader called on related departments, agencies, units and businesses to promptly complete the application and comprehensively evaluate its functions and efficiency for many groups of people and different administrative procedures.

He also urged the Department of Science and Technology to advise on issuance of a directive requesting all agencies, departments, sectors, public service units and people’s committees of communes and wards to intensify communication and mobilization among public officials, Party members and all people to install and use the iBacNinh platform.

It is targeted to achieve 100 percent of officials, civil servants and public employees at agencies and units installing and using the application by October.

Besides, the provincial leader required to further integrate the functions and utilities on the iBacNinh platform to serve people.
