East Asia University of Technology opens campus in Bac Ninh
BAC NINH - East Asia University of Technology has recently inaugurated its Bac Ninh campus as the university expands its facilities to meet growing demand for high-quality human resources in the northern province.
The ceremony on August 19 was attended by Nguyen Hong Thai, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Bac Ninh provincial Party Committee, as well as former Party Central Committee members and provincial officials.

Located in Vo Cuong ward, the campus covers nearly 8 hectares and includes an administration building, lecture halls, a nearly 5,000-square-metre practical workshop, a more than 2,000-square-metre auditorium and four dormitory buildings. It also has competition-standard swimming pools and football pitches.
The campus is designed to accommodate about 15,000 students and is expected to be expanded further, the university said.
The university currently operates two campuses in Bac Ninh and Hanoi, with about 20,000 students. It plans to enroll around 6,000 new students in the 2026-2027 academic year, including about 1,000 at the Bac Ninh campus.

The university said it would focus on improving training quality, developing its teaching staff and making better use of laboratories and practical workshops.
It also plans to expand practical training, applied research and technology transfer, while strengthening links between education and business and labour-market demand.
Mai Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh People's Committee, praised the university's investment and development plans, saying its growth would add resources to the province's education, science, technology and high-quality workforce ecosystem.

He said the university's focus on applied education, practical training, research, technology transfer and business needs was well aligned with Bac Ninh's development priorities, particularly in engineering, technology, electronics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, logistics and the digital economy.
The Vice Chairman urged the university to closely monitor labour demand and strengthen cooperation with businesses, under a model in which companies identify their needs while the university provides training and conducts research, creating closer links between the state, universities and businesses.
The provincial government will continue to support the university's stable and sustainable development and facilitate cooperation with provincial agencies and businesses, contributing to workforce training, scientific and technological development and broader socio-economic growth, he said.
