Central and provincial leaders visit and support flood-hit residents in Bac Ninh
BAC NINH — Senior officials from the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and Bac Ninh Province recently visited residents affected by floods in Bac Ninh province, offering relief assistance and words of encouragement as local authorities race to restore livelihoods following storm No. 11.
On October 11, a delegation from the Central Committee of the VFF, led by Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice President of the VFF, visited flood-affected households in Kep commune.

She inquired about residents’ health and living conditions, expressing sympathy for losses caused by prolonged flooding.
She commended the efforts of local authorities and emergency forces in disaster response and urged continued vigilance as well as timely allocation of resources to ensure no family lacks food, essential goods, or safe shelter.
Nga emphasized that ensuring people’s well-being and restoring production were urgent priorities, calling on the Bac Ninh VFF to promptly distribute available relief funds and form dedicated teams to reach heavily affected areas.
She also urged checks of schools and health stations to guarantee the safety of students and residents’ access to medical services.

On October 12, Bui Quang Huy, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, VFF Vice President, and First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, visited flood-hit areas in Xuan Luong, Dong Ky and Hop Thinh communes.
Huy met affected families, encouraging them to overcome difficulties and resume normal life, and commended young volunteers assisting with recovery efforts as embodying the spirit of solidarity and community service.

Earlier, on October 10, the Bac Ninh VFF received a donation from the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) to support flood recovery.
Nguyen Thi Huong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, expressed appreciation for the company’s assistance and pledged transparent and timely distribution of aid to affected areas.
In the same period, from October 10 to 11, Nguyet Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, inspected recovery work in Bo Ha commune and Van Ha ward, where he met residents and presented provincial relief packages.

On this occasion, Tuan Mai Trading JSC donated 200 million VND and LGG Bac Giang Garment Corporation contributed 50 million VND to support recovery effort in Bo Ha commune.
Also on October 12, Lam Thi Huong Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, visited Xuan Cam commune to distribute relief supplies, while Pham Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly delegation, delivered aid in Viet Yen ward.

Earlier, on October 11, Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, inspected storm recovery efforts in Tien Luc and My Thai communes.
On October 10, Major General Nguyen Van Lich, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1, led a mission to hand over Ministry of Defence supplies to assist Bac Ninh residents in overcoming the aftermath of storm No. 11.
