Efforts made to complete land clearance of southern Bac Giang city urban area

Zones 1 & 2 have a total area of 37.6ha, of which 16.88ha belong to Tan Tien commune and 20.72ha in Dinh Ke ward. At the time the project is inspected, roads No. 3, 8, 9, and 11 of zone 1 were strengthened with K 95 sand while roads No. 4, 5, 9, and 10 were reinforced with K98 sand. Work on the installation of sewer supports and sewers and the building of pits on roads No. 7, 10, 15 and 20 were underway. The project’s detail construction progress was also re-approved in a bid to hand over the work for use in September 2017.
Meanwhile, in zone No. 2, the foundation of plots No. 9, 12, 13, and 16 and tree plot were prepared. Roads No.1, 2, 16, 17 and 18 were covered with macadam. The construction of pavements and the installation of rainwater drainage pipes D1000, D800, D600, and D400 were also completed. In the power supply item, poles, electricity box foundations and transformer station No.04 and 1250kV, 400kV, and 320kV station foundations were built.
In terms of ground clearance, the Bac Giang municipal People’s Committee has to date issued 11 decisions to reclaim land, and approved land clearance compensation for 899 households. The total reclaimed land area was 34.72ha out of 72.85ha, with the compensation for land clearance and tomb removal was 97.42 billion VND.

After inspecting the work, Vice Chairwoman Ha asked relevant departments and offices to make greater efforts to fulfill their assigned tasks as zones 1 & 2 are the province’s key projects.
She requested Bac Giang city to complete the ground clearance of remaining households which refused to move by communicating and giving explanations so to gain their support.
She also asked for more efforts to finish the building of the city’s cemetery, while requiring Tan Tien commune to early compete cemetery management regulations, in order to ensure tombs are built as planning.
The management board of civil and industrial work projects should inspect water drainage pipes to deal with inundated rice fields, and coordinate closely with the municipal People’s Committee in land clearance.
Vice Chairwoman Ha required the two agencies to speed up the construction tempo and pay attention to making power lines and water pipes synchronous as planned./.
