Luc Nam district attracts investment in tourism development
The district boasts more than 260 relic sites, of which 85 have been ranked, including 16 national historical sites and 69 provincial ones, together with 45 traditional festivals.

Luc Nam is endowed with many beautiful natural landscapes, creating the strength of eco-tourism combined with leisure tourism. Among those are Nuoc Vang stream in Luc Son commune; Suoi Nua lake in Dong Hung commune; Reu chasm in Cam Ly commune… The most famous tourist destination of Luc Nam is Suoi Mo eco-tourism area in Nghia Phuong commune with many waterfalls and temples worshipping Princess Que My Nuong.
In the district, there are many fruit growing areas such as custard-apple, longan and lychee, in combination with natural forest conservation, especially forest areas in the west of Yen Tu and Dong Trieu mountain ranges, showing great tourism development potential.
According to statistics, in the first 6 months of this year, thanks to the simultaneous implementation of many measures to stimulate tourism development, the district attracted about 150,000 visitors, a 4.5-fold increase, earning more than 28 billion VND (1.2 million USD) in revenue, a surge of 325 percent over the same period last year.
The project on building Suoi Mo eco-tourism area until 2030 has been approved by the provincial People's Committee, with over 200 billion VND to be invested in tourism infrastructure, focusing on expanding and upgrading tourism complexes, connecting eco-tourism routes with spiritual ones, and perfecting the road system to increase attraction to tourists.
One of the highlights of the district's tourism in the near future is the Bac Giang Golf and Resort project in Chu Dien, Yen Son, and Kham Lang communes. Nguyen Thai Uoc, an official in charge of site clearance of the investor - Truong An Luc Nam Golf Joint Stock Company, said once completed, the 147ha project will play an important role in connecting the tourist attractions of Luc Nam and the surrounding areas.
In the tourism development plan for the 2021 – 2025 period, with a vision to 2030, Luc Nam district has set a target of attracting about 1 million visitors, earning about 100 billion VND in tourism revenue by 2025. The respective figures by 2030 will be 1.5 million tourists and about 150 billion VND.
At the same time, the district will complete the building of a project to form "The path to popularize the Dharma of the founders of Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Buddhist sect" and implement a plan to restore relic sites following the footsteps of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong on the Huyen Dinh range. It will also build and develop community-based tourist sites in the 2021-2030 period.

Luc Nam will basically complete items at Suoi Mo eco-tourism area and work to seek recognition of it as a national tourist area in the 2025-2030 period; recognize three community-based tourist sites in association with development of fruit trees and rural agricultural products in Binh Son, Luc Son and Bao Son communes.
Nguyen Duc Trieu, deputy head of the district’s culture and information office, said that in order to realize the above goals, the district will focus on speeding up the implementation of a number of projects to build roads connecting to local tourist attractions such as Than Nong temple; Suoi Nua lake; San communal house and pagoda; the road to the Nuoc Vang Spring – Giot Waterfall tourist area…
The district will build and issue a mechanism to attract investment as well as exploit the advantages of natural resources, landscapes, environment and complexes of historical-cultural relic sites. At the same time, it will pay attention to training and development of human resources, making tourism a key economic sector of the district.
