According to Vu Quoc Phuong, construction manager of Dong Bac Trading and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, the company has mobilized 30 workers to complete the building soon. The workers are assigned to work early in the morning and late afternoon to avoid hot sunny weather and ensure the progress.

The 2-storey building of Nghia Phuong primary school No 1 is built in an area of nearly 400 hectares with 8 classrooms worth about 5.3 billion VND (228,440 USD) donated by Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company through Vietnam Child Protection Fund and the provincial Child Protection Fund.

The construction was started in November 2019 and scheduled to be completed in May 2020 but the progress has been greatly affected by Covid-19 pandemic. The staff and leaders of the provincial Child Protection Fund regularly visit and collaborate with the school to supervise and speed up the constructor.

Nghia Phuong primary school No 1 has 897 students at the main school in Ho Nuoc hamlet and other satellite schools in the hamlets of Te, Ngoc and Quynh. After the building is completed, the school will allow 280 students from satellite schools to study at the main school. Thereby, the school can implement the new general educational curriculum with full-day classes and lunch for students.

“Nghia Phuong commune still faces numerous difficulties where the classrooms have not met the requirements but lacked of financial resources for construction and improvement. Thanks to the support of Vietnam Child Protection Fund and the provincial Child Protection Fund, the new school has been gradually completed that makes the teachers and students very happy”, said teacher Vu Tri Truyen, Head of the school.
