The PPC Secretary Duong Van Thai warmly welcomed the delegation of Xaysomboun province and briefed the guests on some achievements in socio-economic development of Bac Giang province in 2022 and the first 6 months in 2023.

Besides, he stressed both provinces have proactively and promptly worked out the plan and implemented the contents of cooperation right after the cooperation agreement was signed. The PPC Secretary hoped that at the visit of Xaysomboun’s delegation, both sides would continue to discuss more contents of the agreement to better the cooperative ties between the two provinces.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Vong son Inpanphim expressed his sincere thanks for the warm welcome by the leaders of Bac Giang province. He added, this visit to Bac Giang province aimed to deepen the relationship of the two provinces, review the cooperation results and talk about the future cooperation. On this occasion, he hoped to receive continuous attention and support of Bac Giang province for a successful working visit in the province.

On the same day, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong chaired a working session with the delegation of Xaysomboun province to evaluate the implementation of the cooperation agreement.

After the meeting, Bac Giang province will review the cooperation contents, then the competent agencies will take careful consideration on the new proposals to supplement to the Plan. Both provinces need to continue exchanging information to boost the working progress and make annual evaluation on the implementation results. Bac Giang province will determine to well fulfill all contents of the signed agreement.

(BGO) – Despite a geographical distance of about 800km, Bac Giang province and Xaysomboun province of Laos have become close after the two provinces' governments signed a cooperation agreement, contributing to fostering the Vietnam-Laos relations in general.
