Strengthen cooperation between Bac Giang province and Japanese partners
At the meeting, PPC Vice Chairman Mai Son briefed the basic features of the province.

Currently, Japan is the fourth country in terms of number of investment projects and sixth in total registered capital among 27 countries and territories investing in Bac Giang. There are 21 Japanese enterprises with stable operation in the province. Japanese has been taught at Bac Giang High School for the Gifted since 2021.
To date, the Japanese Government has supported Bac Giang to implement 4 Official Development Assistance projects with a total investment of more than 328 billion VND. The province has also received 10 non-governmental aid amounts of 1.88 million USD.

Since early 2023, Bac Giang province has sent about 1,500 workers to work in Japan. Many Japanese nationals are working at businesses in Bac Giang. Bac Giang Province and Osaka Metropolitan University of Medicine have agreed to sign a cooperation agreement in scientific research, training and transfer of some advances in the medical field.
With so many favorable conditions, the provincial leader Mai Son hoped that the Ambassador will pay attention to introducing Japanese investors to Bac Giang to survey and invest in projects in local industrial parks and clusters, modern and synchronous service complex and urban area as well as in the field of farm produce processing, especially lychee.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Yamada Takio was happy to acknowledge Bac Giang’s outstanding developments among the 63 provinces and cities of Vietnam.

Currently, there are few Japanese businesses investing in Bac Giang. The Ambassador expected in the coming time there will be more Japanese investors to the province.
Regarding the proposal that Bac Giang wants to develop an industrial park specifically for Japanese businesses, the Ambassador said he would convey this information to the business community.
The Ambassador was delighted to know that the quality of Japanese language training at Bac Giang High School for the Gifted is very good. He hoped that this school will spread and replicate Japanese language learning to a number of other educational establishments.
