(BGO) – This year, Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province) has
expanded 10 ha more of lychee with growing area code which meet Global GAP
standard and quality to export to Japan, mostly in Phuc Le village, Phuc Hoa
commune.
To gain high effectiveness, the communal People’s Committee has well coordinated with the district Division of Agriculture and Rural Department to instruct the farmers to care for the crops, use plant protection product correctly as the procedure so as to satisfy the strict condition of Japanese market.

Besides, the district People’s Committee enhances to support trade promotion, print label, stamp, package and origin traceability as well as prepare various programmes to export the fruit to Japan smoothly.
Thus, this year the district has 15 ha of GlobalGAP lychee. In last year season, the district succeeded to develop 5ha of GlobalGAP lychee in Lan Thinh and Quat Du 2 village in Phuc Hoa commune.
GlobalGAP is an international standard about good agriculture practices to help small agriculture enterprises and cooperative to enter global markets. It includes principles during production procedure such as food, varieties, medicine and growing activities until the product is made and sold to the market.

Japanese GI certificate: "Passport" for Luc Ngan lychee to enter fastidious markets
(BGO) - Luc Ngan lychee is the first product of Vietnam that has been officially granted a geographical indication (GI) certificate in Japan. This event marks an important milestone and is a new opportunity for lychee exports to many different markets. On this occasion, Bac Giang Newspaper interviewed Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the provincial Department of Science and Technology, on this event.

(BGO) – This year, Bac Giang province sees a flowering rate of about 90-95 percent for the early-ripening lychee and 85-90 percent for the main-crop lychee (over 95 percent in Luc Ngan district), 1.5 times higher than those of the lychee season 2020. The area of lychees grown under clean standards has expanded, according to provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has just granted a geographical indication (GI) certificate for lychee grown in Luc Ngan district of Bac Giang province, according to the provincial Department of Science and Technology.
