In the big beautiful new cultural house, Nguyen Van Hue, Secretary of the party committee of An Binh village told us about the great efforts of the village officials and consensus of the locals in land clearance. The village is home to nearly 200 households with 800 residents.

Many business office headquarters are constructed in An Binh village.

Previously, most of the people here did farm work. After the agricultural land was transferred the purpose for the urban infrastructure development projects, the locals have changed to do different jobs.

Since 2017, many key and big projects of the province and Bac Giang city have been carried out in the village. There have been a number of projects requiring large land clearance area such as the construction of the headquarters of the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee, the southern urban areas No 1, No 2 and No 3 of Bac Giang city, improving the provincial road 293, expanding the intersection between the provincial road 293 and the pathway to Dong Son bridge, the communal house and leisure area of the village.

Land clearance for implementation of the projects often faces the most obstacles because it involves numerous households especially when the land price is very high. The party committee and leaders of the village have organized several public meeting to announce the State’s policies to the locals for implementation.

Many meeting were organized in the nighttime. Most of the households have farmland subject to revocation, many of whom have some hectares of fields revoked for land clearance such as the families of Do Van Tinh, Vu Van Tuan and Tran Thi Khoi.

In line with public meetings at the cultural house or announcement on the public loudspeaker, the village party committee assigned the party members and heads of the unions to go to every household to disseminate information and mobilize the people to understand the State’s policies to achieve their consensus and support. Thanks to this method, the land clearance progress of the village surpassed the set targets.

Apart from the big projects, the people in An Binh village have actively engaged in the welfare projects.

According to Tran Van Bach, Vice Chairman of the people’s committee of Tan Tien commune, the commune has implemented 25 projects since 2022 and implemented compensation for more than 240 hectares of cleared land. Many projects have been completed ahead of the schedule thanks to smooth land clearance.

Luc Ngan to complete infrastructure, level up urban area
