Thousands of good deeds made during movement following President Ho Chi Minh

Updated: 17:27, 17/05/2023
(BGO) - Realizing the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021, on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW on "studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and morality and style," in the past two years, many collectives and individuals in Bac Giang province have had good and creative ways, with thousands of good deeds having spillover social effects.

Viet Tien village, Giao Liem commune, Son Dong district has 255 households with 1,120 people, mainly ethnic minorities of Cao Lan and San Chi. Because the village is located far from the district center with inconvenient transport conditions, a few years ago, the material and spiritual life of the locals was very difficult, with more than 60% of families being poor.

Implementing the policies of the province, district and commune on the cementation of rural roads, the village Party cell and administration have focused on persuading residents to donate land for road construction, considering this one of the specific activities in response to the movement studying and following President Ho Chi Minh.

Luc Van Tam, head of Viet Tien village, said that the village management board has set up a working group to come to each household to persuade them to donate land for road construction. The motto is to take Party members, officials of mass organizations, reputable people, and the elderly as key factors in this work. As a result, since 2020, the people of Viet Tien village have donated 110,000 sq.m of land to build and renovate rural roads. Typically, the family of Hoang Thi Hien donated 15,000sq.m; Ly Van Siu nearly 1,000sq.m; and Nong Van Loc 300sq.m.

New concrete roads have created conditions for people to develop production and travel, contributing to promoting socio-economic development.

Responding to that campaign, every year, Party cells under the Party Organisation of Bac Giang Telecom enable officials and Party members to register for good deeds.

Each cadre and Party member registers to perform 1-2 typical tasks and good deeds in accordance with the functions and tasks of the unit as well as their responsibilities.

Each year, the unit has hundreds of recognized initiatives to help improve quality and bring good services and products to customers. Among those are initiatives to develop new services and products in information technology, deploy IP v6 dual stack network for production and business, use GIS technology and Ray Casting algorithm in controlling subscriber coordinates, and build an internal app serving the company’s production and business operations.

Since 2021, the whole Bac Giang Telecom system has seen more than 700 good deeds recorded in the book of the company’s Party Committee, contributing to well performing political, production and business tasks, with total revenue of the following year always higher than the previous year.

According to Do Duc Ha, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and head of the committee's Information and Education Department, it is necessary to do a good job of popularizing the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh for people of all classes and raise the responsibility of setting an example among cadres, Party members, youth union members and members of mass organizations in studying and following Uncle Ho by specific actions.

Party committees at all levels, and officials and Party members in the province have seriously registered to follow Uncle Ho, in which each collective or individual chooses from 1-2 deeds in association with specific tasks of the Party committee, agency or unit. In 2021 and 2022, the whole province had nearly 273,000 deeds registered and completed by collectives and individuals. By the first quarter of 2023, the province saw 8,048 deeds registered by collectives and 114,336 by individuals.
