Trade and Tourism Fair 2026 - A lever for developing Bac Ninh products

Updated: 15:50, 21/03/2026

BAC NINH - As part of a series of activities celebrating the UNESCO recognition of the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes as a World Cultural Heritage Site, as well as the inscription of Dong Ho folk painting into the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, and the “Returning to the Heritage Region – 2026” Festival, the Bac Ninh Trade and Tourism Fair 2026 promises to serve as an important bridge.

It helps bring the distinctive products of the Kinh Bac region closer to both domestic and international consumers. The event offers not only a space for shopping and entertainment, but also an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to seek partners.

A representative of Han Thi Trade and Service Cooperative introduces products to customers at the Spring Fair.

The Bac Ninh Trade and Tourism Fair 2026 will officially take place from March 24-30 in Bac Giang ward, with an expected scale of 200 standard booths, including 50 booths from the Departments of Industry and Trade and trade promotion centres of provinces and cities; 30 from communes and wards within the province; and 120 from enterprises nationwide.

This is an important trade and tourism promotion activity, enabling localities to showcase their economic development potential and strengths, especially products produced and processed in Bac Ninh. It also serves as a bridge for businesses and cooperatives to access markets and expand distribution systems.

According to the Bac Ninh Industrial Promotion and Development Centre, dozens of localities, enterprises, and cooperatives have registered to participate in the fair.

These participants represent units with OCOP (One Commune One Product) products and distinctive goods that have won numerous awards, contributing to a diverse and vibrant fair space.

Among the participants, Yen The Green Agriculture Cooperative (Yen The commune) has shown thorough preparation.

Giap Quy Cuong, Director of the cooperative, shared that they will bring a wide range of specialty products made from chicken, such as salt-baked chicken, soy sauce-steamed chicken, dried shredded chicken, chicken floss, as well as deeply processed products like steamed pork roll and sausage.

They also aim to promote their brand, expand their distribution network, and seek new partners.

Similarly, FujiCo Vietnam Herbal Medicine Co., Ltd. (Vo Cuong ward) will participate with a booth showcasing healthcare products applying nanotechnology derived from turmeric extract.

Nguyen Thi Nhung, Deputy Director of the company, said that their key products such as Curcumin with honey, sugar-free Curcumin, and Curcumin Orac Premium extract have all achieved 4-star OCOP certification, affirming their quality and reputation.

The company expects the fair to be an opportunity to connect with distributors and directly reach consumers.

The provincial Centre for Culture and Tourism Promotion will organise an exhibition space for traditional handicrafts, introducing the essence of craft villages such as Dong Ho paintings, Phu Lang pottery, Dong Ky fine woodwork, and Dai Bai bronze casting, combined with live demonstrations by artisans.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience production processes firsthand, helping to honour cultural values and promote tourism.

To ensure the success of the fair, coordination among agencies and localities has been implemented synchronously and closely.

The Bac Ninh Department of Industry and Trade plays a leading role, coordinating with departments, sectors, and the People’s Committee of Bac Giang ward to develop an organisation plan, arrange booths, and ensure technical infrastructure and event safety.

Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Director of the department, stated that the organisation plan has been basically completed. The selection of participants has been carefully conducted, prioritising those with OCOP products, outstanding rural industrial products, and regional specialties.

The fair will be an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to connect supply and demand, expand markets, and contribute to trade growth, he said, adding it is expected to help promote the image of Bac Ninh as a culturally rich and hospitable destination, attracting tourists through cultural activities such as Quan Ho folk singing performances and traditional craft demonstrations.
