Vice President praises contributions of small and medium companies

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hosted a reception on March 21 for representatives of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME). 

At the meeting, Xuan spoke highly of the association’s recent business achievements and its contributions to patriotic movements, social affairs and support for those affected by natural disasters and epidemics.

She asked Vietnamese enterprises, including small and medium ones, to continue being pioneers on the economic front and to build a strong cohort of businesspeople, who can compete in the international arena.

The Vice President also called for building a system of values for Vietnamese enterprises through standards in culture, business ethics and social responsibility.

She noted that the VINASME needs to work with other agencies to offer advice to the Party, State and Government in introducing appropriate policies to promote the development of Vietnamese enterprises.

According to VINASME Chairman Nguyen Van Than, the association was founded in 2005 and has grown substantially with an increasing number of members.

The association proactively renovated the business and production models, restructured business operations and enhanced corporate culture.

The VINASME also effectively implemented various social activities, collecting and donating billions of Vietnamese dong to charitable funds, poor people and those affected by natural disasters and epidemics.
