Che (sweet soup) dishes are served at a street-side stall in HCMC.

In addition, Vietnam also possesses the world’s most home dishes and dishes made from banana trees as well as many of the most unique natural spices in the world.

The country has the most attractive souvenirs and special gifts in the world.

Le Tran Truong An, general director of VietKings, said that it earlier submitted 10 nominations in the culinary field to WorldKings for global recognition and six of them were acknowledged.

From 2020 to 2022, there were 14 world records for Vietnamese cuisine set by WorldKings, which describes itself as the first union of national and regional records organizations in the world.

Vietnamese cuisine has become better known in the world over the last couple of decades, with international chefs and prestigious food magazines praising several national dishes.

In a CNN listing of 50 "much-loved street foods in Asia" released this week, Vietnam had three representatives including banh mi, iced coffee and pho.
