2 Bac Ninh students win silver medals at 2026 AIMO international final
BAC NINH- The award ceremony of the 2026 Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) took place at Hanoi National Convention Center on August 4.
This competition is annually organized by AIMO Executive Committee under AIMO Union since 2012.

This year AIMO international final took place in Hanoi from 2 to 5 August 2026, attracting 1,300 contestants from 22 countries and territories.
The 2026 AIMO international final brought together the students winning at least bronze medals at national finales of participating countries and territories.
The Vietnamese team participated in the competition with 300 students from 18 provinces and cities nationwide. Finally, the team secured 1 champion, 4 first runner-up awards, 3 second runner-up awards, 42 gold medals, 83 silver medals, 70 bronze medals and 2 merit awards.
Tran Son Ha, a grade-7 student of Dang Thai Mai secondary school from Nghe An province excellently won champion.
2 siblings from Bac Ninh province bagged silver medals, who are Nguyen Hoang Duc Anh, a grade 10 student of the mathematics specialized class (2025–2026 academic year) at Bac Giang High School for the Gifted (in Bac Giang ward) and Nguyen Hoang Quoc Anh, a student of class 7A3 (2025–2026 academic year) of Tran Phu Secondary School (in Bac Giang ward).
Nguyen Hoang Duc Anh also bagged gold medal at the 2025 AIMO International Final held in Tokyo, Japan in August 2025.
