The Bac Ninh Federation of Labor announced the establishment of the union at the foreign-invested manufacturer, located in the Yen Phong Expanded Industrial Park, on July 29. A provisional executive committee was appointed and more than 1,600 employees were admitted as union members.

Officials said the move marked an important step in expanding trade union organizations in foreign-invested enterprises, helping represent and protect workers' legitimate rights while promoting stable labor relations and sustainable business development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lam Thi Huong Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh People's Council, said the province was entering a new stage of development with the goal of becoming a modern industrial and service hub and a key growth driver for Vietnam.

She said trade unions play a vital role in connecting employees and employers while contributing to harmonious labor relations and improved business performance.

She called on the newly formed union to quickly stabilize its organization, strengthen worker representation, work closely with company management, encourage innovation and technical improvements, and help improve productivity and competitiveness.

The provincial leader also urged the company to continue improving working conditions, occupational safety, healthcare and employees' cultural and recreational activities.

During the event, the provincial Federation of Labor presented 100 gift packages to disadvantaged workers. Following the ceremony, about 1,700 employees took part in the "Trade Union Meal" programme, aimed at strengthening ties between workers, the union and the employer.
