Budget carrier Vietjet Air is offering around 2.5 million domestic and international tickets for the period from Feb. 3 to March 2. The first day of Tet, the Lunar New Year, falls on Feb. 17, 2026.

Vietnam Airlines Group, comprising Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and Vasco, is selling over 3.5 million tickets, up 20% from a year earlier.

It said the popular Hanoi–Ho Chi Minh City route would have nearly 18% more seats while others would see increases of 9-13%.

It also plans to operate more flights to countries like Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore amid growing demand during Tet and would closely watch its resources and the market to potentially release more tickets.

The cheapest Vietnam Airlines flight from HCMC to Hanoi during the holiday costs VND6.3 million (US$240) while Vietjet offers the same trip for VND3 million.

One-way flights between HCMC and Thanh Hoa Province and Vinh City in Nghe An Province cost at least VND5.4 million at Vietnam Airlines and VND3.5–3.7 million at Vietjet.
