Chu rice noodle receives staple title.

Of which, Luc Ngan lychee and Yen The hill chicken are recognized as the signature products while Chu rice noodle and Ban Ven green tea receive the staple title. Recently, the localities have paid due attention to building the linkage chain in consumption and market expansion for these products.

Particularly, Luc Ngan lychee is cultivated in over 15,000 hectares, yielding about 80 – 120,000 tonnes per year. The current farming scale of 11 – 13 million heads of Yen The hill chickens makes an annual value of 1.3 – 1.5 trillion VND (56.9 – 65.7 million USD). Meanwhile, the productivity of Chu rice noodle reaches over 14,000 tonnes and nearly 4,000 tonnes for Ban Ven green tea on a yearly basis.

For the upcoming time, the provincial competent departments and agencies will continue recognizing the qualified commodity farm produces and organizing trade promotion activities to connect the consumption and demand as well as expand the market.
