On July 2, Pham Van Thinh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), and Head of the Provincial National Assembly delegation, attended and directed a lychee consumption promotion event at two major enterprises: Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (Nam Son – Hap Linh Industrial Park) and Welstory Vietnam Co., Ltd. (VSIP Bac Ninh II Industrial Park).

At the event, large batches of lychee were delivered to the companies, stored in cold warehouses before being distributed to consumers. Binh Nguyen Clean Agricultural Cooperative in Phuong Son ward supplied the fruits.

Speaking at the event, PPC Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh extended the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee’s letter of appreciation to company leaders and employees, emphasising the social responsibility of enterprises in supporting farmers to sell their produce.

He stressed that this was a practical and effective way to promote the Bac Ninh lychee brand.

He highly appreciated the active and responsible participation of both companies and called on other enterprises in industrial parks to replicate this model to support agricultural consumption and improve workers’ meals.

Delegates witness the signing of lychee supply contracts.

Preliminary data showed that in just two days (July 1-2), the programme facilitated consumption of over 100 tonnes of lychee. On July 2 alone, Goertek Vina signed contracts to purchase approximately 86 tonnes while Welstory Vietnam signed contracts for 11.2 tonnes.

Welstory Vietnam specialises in providing meals for workers of companies within and outside the province, serving around 250,000 meals daily.

Similarly, Goertek Vina employs a large number of workers. Purchasing lychees to give to their employees not only supports farmers but also demonstrates companies’ care and encouragement towards their workforce.

In the coming time, the Bac Ninh Industrial Park Authority will continue to strengthen connections with enterprises operating within the province’s industrial parks.
