The two sides agreed on several key areas of cooperation in the coming period, including strengthening academic exchanges and joint research on the conservation of rare plant species, with a focus on surveying, discovering and publishing new plant species.

Representatives of Bac Giang Agro-Forestry University and the Komarov Botanical Institute agree to cooperate on biodiversity conservation research.

They also plan to organize international scientific conferences to share research findings and expand cooperation networks, while promoting expert exchanges through academic programs, seminars, study visits and research activities.

Another major initiative includes the development of a botanical garden serving research, training and biodiversity conservation purposes.

Under its development strategy, Bac Giang Agro-Forestry University has been assigned responsibility for biodiversity and genetic resource conservation. The university said international cooperation plays an important role in enhancing research capacity, particularly in preserving rare animal and plant gene resources.

The partnership is expected to provide a foundation for in-depth studies on the conservation and development of rare plant species.
