Welcoming the French delegation, Son briefed the guests on Bac Ninh’s socio-economic development, particularly after the merger of the former Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces.
Ranked fifth nationwide in economic scale, Bac Ninh is positioning itself as Vietnam’s semiconductor industry hub thanks to its strategic location and development potential.
Beyond economic progress, Bac Ninh is known for its academic tradition and excellence in education, consistently ranking among the top provinces nationwide in academic performance, with many students winning national and international prizes.
The province currently hosts several universities, branch campuses of major institutions, 18 colleges and numerous vocational training centers, training thousands of students each year.
To enhance workforce quality, Bac Ninh has issued policies to support students and teachers, develop human resources for key industries such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence, and provide scholarships for high school graduates to study abroad in electronics and semiconductor fields.
The PPC Vice Chairman hoped that the University of Limoges will cooperate with Bac Ninh in training engineers, experts and lecturers in semiconductor technology, electronic materials, energy and automation; developing dual-degree programmes; and promoting student and faculty exchanges. He also encouraged the university to offer scholarships for Bac Ninh students pursuing studies in its core disciplines.
The provincial leader also invited Professor Blanquet to serve as a bridge connecting French enterprises interested in exploring investment opportunities in Bac Ninh and fostering cooperation in supply chain development and new technology application.
