Bac Giang allocates over 1.1 million USD to upgrade road leading to Kep station
BAC GIANG — The Lang Giang District People’s Council has approved an additional 27 billion VND (about 1.17 million USD) for the 2025 public investment plan, earmarked for upgrading the Huong Son–Quang Thinh district road linking National Highway 37 to Kep Station.
The project, managed by the district’s Construction Investment Project Management Board, will be funded through district and provincial budgets, along with other sources. Construction is slated to run from 2025 to 2027.

Currently, the road to Kep Station is just 4 meters wide, making traffic challenging. Kep has been upgraded to an international rail terminal and improving the access road is expected to boost station operations, facilitate trade and drive economic growth.
“The resolution allows us to move forward with project planning and contractor selection,” said Tran Cong Tuong, director of the district Project Management Board.
The 1.6-kilometer stretch will be expanded to 5.5–6 meters, paved with asphalt concrete, and feature 0.75-meter reinforced shoulders on both sides.
