Bac Giang city promotes digital transformation to raise production, business efficiency

Thien An One Member Co., Ltd., on Dao Su Tich street specializes in manufacturing cosmetics, extracting essential oils, and trading food, fresh vegetables and fruits. The company has strengthened the application of accounting, management and sales software on domestic and international e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Amazon and Alibaba.
From this channel, many people knew and bought its products and thus sales increased sharply. This modern sales and management method has helped company employ less personnel than before, thereby reducing investment costs and increasing business efficiency.
According to the city's Economic Department, digital transformation has contributed to raising the economic value of products by at least 20%. The promotion of digital technology with businesses and cooperatives building websites and introducing products on e-commerce floors has brought products to consumers faster. As a result, the sales of enterprises, cooperatives and business households expanded 20-50%, with online sales accounting for about 20-30%, and sales through e-commerce platforms 5-10%.
In order to actively promote digital transformation, over the past time, the city's competent agencies have encouraged businesses to assess their level of digital transformation, thus mapping out implementation plans.

Many training courses have been held to support and guide enterprises, cooperatives, households and groups of households to introduce, promote and put their signature products on e-commerce platforms such as Voso.vn and Postmart.vn; and register for a space on the e-commerce floor of Bac Giang province (san24h.vn).
According to Dang Dinh Hoan, Chairman of the city People's Committee, to realize the goal of becoming a "green, smart" city, Bac Giang identifies digital transformation and digital economy development as a key task. The city will continue to support and encourage businesses to make comprehensive and effective digital transformation.
In 2023, the city targets 100% of export, key, signature and OCOP products brought to domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms. More than 80% of enterprises are expected to use electronic contracts and the percentage of small and medium enterprises using digital platforms will reach more than 50%.
