Bac Giang further coordinates and strengthens traffic connection with Thai Nguyen
BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of August 1, the Department of Transport (DOT) of the two provinces of Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen held a conference to evaluate the current situation and results of the coordination of transportation development between the two localities; discuss and agree on upcoming tasks.
Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen both have 3 types of roads, railways and waterways which are adjacent and connected to each other. In particular, the road passes through Ring Road 5 of the Capital, National Highway 17, National Highway 37; several provincial roads such as: 294, 261C, 294B, 265B, 265; branch route of 294D provincial road and current road in Lien Minh commune, Vo Nhai district, Thai Nguyen province; provincial road 296C and route of Pho Yen city (Thai Nguyen); Kep - Luu Xa national railway (stopped operating).

Regarding waterways, the two provinces have third grade Cau River inland waterway (Pha Lai - Da Phuc, 86 km long), the section passing through the two provinces with a length of about 24 km is managed by Central authority.
For recent years, the two localities have proactively built and implemented cooperation programs and content in many fields.

At the conference, representatives of the two provinces discussed specific solutions to renovate and upgrade the 3 km section of Provincial Road 261 C, remove the Ha Chau suspension bridge connecting to Phu Binh; connect the capital's Ring Road 5; accelerate the progress of the project connecting to Bac Giang at Hoa Son bridge; advise on speeding up the implementation of the investment project to upgrade provincial road 265B, striving to deploy and complete in 2025...
