In addition to social networks, in recent years, e-commerce platforms such as Buudien.vn (formerly Postmart.vn), Sendo, Lazada and Alibaba have also accompanied the province in selling agricultural products.
According to Dinh Cao Dien, Deputy Director of the Bac Giang provincial Post Office, since 2021, the unit has actively coordinated with agencies in the province, cooperatives, and gardeners to promote lychee consumption nationwide through the network of Vietnam Post.
The unit has transported the province's fresh lychees by road, rail and air to the centers of 62 provinces and cities throughout the country. It has brought lychees to its e-commerce platform Buudien.vn; guided cooperatives and farmers to sell their agricultural products on digital platforms.
After about three years, the province now has more than 7,300 user accounts on the e-commerce platform Buudien.vn, offering 1,700 products, including 92 One Commune One Product (OCOP) items.
Nearly 90,000 transactions have been recorded, with a total value of more than 48.6 billion VND (1.91 million USD). Currently, the provincial Post Office is connecting for the sale of Luc Ngan district’s main-season lychees and Chu noodles.
According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, through digital platforms, many agricultural products of the province have been widely promoted, both domestically and globally.
Bac Giang province has zoned off logistics centers and is speeding up the construction progress of logistics center infrastructure in Bac Giang city. It will continue to attract qualified investors to invest in construction, management and operation of logistics service centers in the planned areas. The province will develop agricultural product production and consumption chains in key raw material areas under the model of cooperative groups and cooperatives linking with businesses to provide quality agricultural products.

As a locality strong in agricultural production with many key and famous products, Bac Giang has directed relevant agencies, especially the Department of Industry and Trade, to further promote the sale of agricultural products on digital platforms. Along with ongoing solutions, the department will continue communication activities so that people and businesses can change their mindset, switching from traditional methods to digital business models.
The department will closely coordinate with agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, embassies, trade counselors, and Vietnamese trade offices in countries to seek, expand and diversify markets; while encouraging Vietnamese people abroad to introduce and sell products and develop distribution channels for Vietnamese goods abroad.
Producers need to innovate and diversify designs and packaging, and apply product traceability technology to meet domestic and foreign market requirements.
