Bac Giang provincial leader extends Tet greetings to Embassies of China and Singapore

BAC GIANG - On the occasion of New Year and Lunar New Year 2024, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Anh Duong on January 22 visited and extended Tet wish to the Embassies of China and Singapore.

Currently, China ranks second in the number of investment projects in Bac Giang province (after Republic of Korea) and first in total registered capital with 275 projects and more than 6.3 billion USD.

PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong thanked the Embassy of China to Vietnam and Ambassador Xiong Bo for the due attention to Bac Giang province, especially in supporting the consumption of agricultural products and granting scholarships to mountainous students.

He emphasized that Bac Giang is accelerating the progress to build classrooms at Binh Son Primary and Secondary School in Luc Nam district which are sponsored by the Chinese Embassy to Vietnam.

The provincial leader hoped that the Chinese Embassy will pay more attention to supporting Bac Giang province in introducing and promoting its potential advantages and cooperation; attracting Chinese investors with potential and strengths to invest in the province, especially in the field of processing and manufacturing industries with high technology, less risk of environmental pollution as well as building smart cities among others.

Congratulating the achievements of Bac Giang province, Ambassador Xiong Bo affirmed that the Chinese Embassy will continue to promote and tighten cooperative relationships in all fields; pay more attention to introducing Chinese investors to learn about investment opportunities in Bac Giang province, especially in the fields of electric vehicle manufacturing and high technology...

He shared that many Chinese businesses have come to seek the investment environment in Vietnam, the Embassy has introduced them to Bac Giang province.

Visiting and extending New Year wish to the Embassy of Singapore to Vietnam, the PPC Chairman sent best wishes for the new year to Jaya Ratnam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore to Vietnam.

At the same time, he affirmed that the cooperative relationship between Singapore and Bac Giang province has been increasingly expanded recently. The whole province now has 31 projects of Singaporean investors with a total investment capital of 2.39 billion USD. In 2023, Bac Giang licensed 12 new projects with registered capital of nearly 900 million USD.

The Bac Giang provincial leader hoped that the Singapore Embassy will further support the province to introduce and promote local strengths, policies to attract investment in the fields of economics, trade, tourism, education and training so as to lure investment projects of Singaporean enterprises in industrial parks and clusters in the province.

On behalf of the Embassy, Ambassador Jaya Ratnam expressed his joy at the outstanding results that Bac Giang province has achieved in the past year. He thanked Bac Giang province for the kind emotion to the Singapore and confirmed his visit to the province together with the Singapore Business Association in the coming time.

At the same time, he wished to accelerate more exchange and share cooperation in the fields of education - training and tourism, training staff and civil servants..., hence further promoting cooperation in all fields between the Singapore and Bac Giang province.
