To properly implement the issuance and management of GAC and agricultural product packaging facilities for export, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requests the People's Committees of districts and cities to preside over the establishment, actual inspection and completion of the application for code issuance and ensure the maintenance of technical conditions.

They are ordered to regularly organize reviews and inspections to establish dossiers requesting additional code issuance or revocation or cancellation of growing area and packaging facilities that do not meet regulations.

More policies should be made to encourage and support the development of growing areas and packaging facilities to meet the requirements of local importing countries while providing more training and guidance to raise awareness for organizations and individuals in this issue.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development assigned the Division of Plant Production and Protection to be the focal point to receive and appraise applications for code issuance. At the same time, the Division is in charge of sufficiently storing and updating information on growing area and packaging facility codes on the national database on growing areas and export packaging facilities.
