At the conference, delegates discussed a number of reports on the implementation the socio-economic development plan in the first half of the year, as well as tasks and solutions for the latter half.

They approved the provincial Party Committee's Resolution on building and developing culture and people of Bac Giang to meet the requirements of sustainable development; and a plan to organise Party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress.

Concluding the function, Gau said that in the last six months of 2024, the general situation is forecast to still face many difficulties, especially production and business of enterprises; risks of the financial banking and, real estate markets.

Therefore, he requested that the provincial Party Committee’s members in charge of industries, fields and localities continue to closely follow work plans and programmes of the provincial Party Committee, promote the role as an example, and focus on leading and directing the performance of tasks.

In the immediate future, it is necessary to strive to complete the socio-economic development goals set for 2024 as well as those mentioned in the Party congresses of units and localities, he noted.

He also urged priority to be given to implementing the task of rearranging district- and commune-level administrative units and urban development; and strengthening leadership and direction to ensure security, welfare and safety, especially the elimination of sub-standard houses for poor and near-poor households, and the upgrade and repair of houses for people who rendered service to the nation.

Attention should be paid to visiting and encouraging revolution contributors and policy beneficiary families on the occasion of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27), he added.
