Bac Giang win 4 medals at 2023 National Youth Sepak Takraw Championships

(BGO) – The 2023 National Youth Sepak Takraw Championships wrapped up on July 23 at Bac Giang provincial Gymnasium after 8 competition days. Bac Giang delegation won four medals.

The tournament was co-hosted by Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam’s Sepak Takraw Federation and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang province.

Bac Giang athletes (podium 1) win gold medal at women’s doubles at the age of 17 – 20.

It attracted nearly 200 athletes from 10 provinces, cities and agencies including Bac Giang, Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City and the People’s Public Security.

The athletes competed in the men’s 4-player team, women’s 4-player team, women’s 3-player team, women’s doubles and mix-gender events at the age groups of under 16 and from 17 to 20. 15 female athletes from Bac Giang province attended the event.

At the final matches, Bac Giang athletes faced strong rivals from Hanoi city and Dong Thap province. Concluding the championships, the Organization Board awarded 14 sets of medals to outstanding athletes with high achievements at different categories.

Bac Giang delegation won 4 medals including 2 golds, one silver and one bronze. The gold winners were awarded to U16’s women’s 4-player team and women’s doubles at the age of 17 – 20.
