Increasing the projects

Implementing the Resolution, the provincial People’s Committee directed to plan local urban areas which focuses on reviewing and arranging enough land fund to build social house for workers. At least 35 percent of total area of industrial park– urban and service project must be spent on high building social house to sufficiently meet the demand of workers at the industrial parks.

The social housing project for workers at Nenh town urban area in Viet Yen district is accelerated.

Thanks to drastic solutions, since July 2021, the province has approved for 7 social housing projects for workers with total area of nearly 27ha (five have owners while two are at the stage of investor selection).

According to the Department of Construction, after one year implementation of the Resolution No.110, the province had 10 social housing projects for workers and one urban area project with apartment for workers under execution, up 8 projects comparing to the time ahead of Resolution’s issuance.

As schedule, by 2024, when the projects are completed, they will help solve housing demand for about 61,500 workers at the industrial parks and clusters.

In spite of increase number of projects, the implementation progress was delayed, especially land clearance work with a lot of obstacles.

Regular inspection, proper beneficiaries

The PPC Standing Committee pressed that it is special important task to build social houses for workers in the orientation for provincial development in the upcoming time. The PPC Standing Committee ordered the provincial People’s Committee to urgently establish provincial Working Group led by leader of provincial People’s Committee to direct, expedite and accelerate the project execution progress.

Local authority was urged to build implementation plan for each specific project, including both projects with investor and under investor selection stage.

Implementing this task, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan informed: “The province established Working Group about building social house for workers with clear tasks, completion time, specific responsibility of relevant organizations, agencies and localities”.

Basing on that, the Working Group will conduct monthly inspection to know actual situation then direct, expedite and timely handle and remove any arising difficulty and obstacle during project execution to meet the set schedule.

The Working Group also instructs department, sectors and localities to actively implement the tasks in line with the assignment and function so as to support and create the most favorable condition for business and investor to implement the projects.

Regarding this issue, apart from opening the projects on the website, the Department of Construction suggested the provincial Industrial Park Management Board to send the project information to enterprises at the industrial parks so that the workers will know about it; request the companies to review and sum up the housing demand for workers, helping competent agencies to orient the social housing development in the upcoming time suitably for proper beneficiaries per project target.
