During the period, the province licensed 115 domestic investment projects with total registered capital of 174.68 trillion VND (6.6 billion USD), while 55 existing projects increased their capital by an additional 15.76 trillion VND (about 600 million USD).

Bac Ninh attracts nearly 10 billion USD in investment in the first half of 2026, maintaining strong growth in both the number of projects and registered capital.

In foreign investment, Bac Ninh approved 177 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with registered capital of 708.76 million USD and allowed 149 existing projects to raise their capital by a combined 1.63 billion USD.

With these results, Bac Ninh ranked fourth nationwide in FDI attraction, behind Thai Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, further strengthening its position as one of Vietnam's leading industrial hubs and investment destinations.

A key highlight in the first half of the year was the approval of investment policies and investors for five industrial parks with total registered capital of 8 trillion VND.

The addition of new industrial parks is expected to expand the province's industrial land bank and create room for large-scale and high-tech projects in the coming years.

To date, Bac Ninh has approved 39 industrial parks covering a total area of 11,629.5 hectares. Around 4,363 hectares of industrial and administrative-service land have been leased, equivalent to an occupancy rate of about 53.05%, providing an important foundation for modern and sustainable industrial development.

Alongside investment attraction efforts, the province has continued to support business development and entrepreneurship. In the first half of 2026, Bac Ninh recorded 4,478 newly established enterprises with total registered capital of 80.2 trillion VND.

An additional 177 branches and representative offices, along with 1,717 business locations, also commenced operations, underscoring the attractiveness of the province's investment environment and the dynamism of its business community.

Bac Ninh leads Vietnam in first-half 2026 exports

In June 2026, Bac Ninh's total trade value was estimated at 20.13 billion USD. Of the total, exports reached nearly 9.96 billion USD, up 2.25% from the previous month and 32% higher than the same period in 2025, while imports stood at 10.17 billion USD, an increase of 1.67% month-on-month.

Bac Ninh province recognised first class provincial-level administrative unit

BAC NINH- The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued Decision No 745/QD-BNV dated 30 June 2026 classifying Bac Ninh province as a first class provincial-level administrative unit. This is an important milestone demonstrating the development of population size, natural land area as well as socio-economic growth of the province in the new stage.
