Large crowds of local residents enthusiastically enjoyed a community arts programme featuring performances by representatives from the local board for Fatherland Front work and mass organisations.
Although none of the performers were professionals, the programme captivated audiences with their enthusiasm, careful preparation and the heartfelt emotions conveyed through each performance.
Holding an arts programme in a residential area provides an opportunity for local officials, Party members and residents to meet, exchange and share their joy.
Cultural colours are spreading across Bac Ninh as the province celebrates the conversion of 12 communes into wards and the establishment of Bac Ninh city.
In Hiep Hoa commune, the art programme “Hiep Hoa – A Dream to Shine, Looking to the Future” was staged in three chapters: “The Source of Hiep Hoa,” “The Flow of the Homeland” and “Rising with Integration.”
The programme wove together the region’s cultural traditions, attachment to the land and people, and aspirations for development in a new era.
In Bo Ha commune, the “Bo Ha in a New Day” programme featured performances by numerous acclaimed artists from both the central and local levels, celebrating the homeland, the country and the cultural heritage of Kinh Bac.
An evening of quan ho (love duet) folk singing performed on boats in Luong Tai commune created a distinctly Kinh Bac cultural setting.
While the programmes varied in scale and style, they shared a common thread: culture has become a bond that brings communities together, giving residents a chance to meet, celebrate and take pride in their homeland.
A festive and upbeat spirit is spreading through a series of cultural, sporting and tourism activities being rolled out across the province, from the provincial to local levels.
Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated event is the special art programme “The Source of Kinh Bac – Rising with the Times,” scheduled for the evening of September 19 at 3/2 Square, immediately after the ceremony announcing the National Assembly’s resolution on the establishment of Bac Ninh city.
Lasting around 80 minutes, the event will feature three chapters: “Kinh Bac – A Convergence of Cultures,” “Bac Ninh – Rising with the Times” and “Hello, Bac Ninh City.”
The show will bring together a host of renowned artists and singers, including People’s Artist Thuy Huong, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, and singers Tung Duong, Hoa Minzy and Noo Phuoc Thinh.
These days, local residents are not simply spectators but are actively helping create the festive atmosphere.
Some rehearse for cultural performances, others take part in sporting events, while many put up flags and clean and beautify the streets, each adding a splash of colour to the celebrations marking the establishment of Bac Ninh city.
Their collective efforts are strengthening pride in their Kinh Bac homeland, fostering community bonds and inspiring a shared aspiration to help build a modern and civilised new city.
