Bac Ninh donates 500 million VND to Tuyen Quang's gratitude fund

BAC NINH - Bac Ninh province has donated 500 million VND (over 19 million USD) to the "Gratitude Fund" of northern Tuyen Quang province to support activities benefiting war veterans, revolution contributors and policy beneficiary families.

The donation was presented on June 27 during a working visit to Tuyen Quang by a Bac Ninh delegation led by Nguyen Thi Huong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and head of the province's National Assembly delegation.

The Bac Ninh delegation presents 500 million VND to support Tuyen Quang province's "Gratitude Fund".

Receiving the delegation were Ma The Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, the Bac Ninh provincial leader Nguyen Thi Huong thanked Tuyen Quang authorities for their warm reception and expressed appreciation for the province's efforts in managing and preserving the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery and other memorial sites, where many fallen soldiers from the former Ha Bac province, now Bac Ninh province, are buried.

Standing Deputy Secretary of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Huong offers incense at the graves of unidentified martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery.

She highlighted Bac Ninh's socio-economic achievements following the provincial merger and said caring for revolution contributors and their families remained a key political task, reflecting Vietnam's tradition of remembering those who made sacrifices for the country.

On behalf of the Party organisation, authorities and people of Bac Ninh, the province donated 500 million VND to Tuyen Quang's Gratitude Fund to help finance programmes supporting people with meritorious service and policy beneficiary families.

Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan offers incense at the graves of martyrs from Bac Giang, now part of Bac Ninh province, at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery.

Tuyen Quang provincial leader Ma The Hong thanked Bac Ninh for its support and solidarity, saying Tuyen Quang continued to prioritise policies for revolution contributors, while promoting the search and repatriation of fallen soldiers' remains and preserving martyrs' memorial sites.

He also outlined Tuyen Quang's recent socio-economic development and expressed hope that the two provinces would expand exchanges and cooperation across a range of sectors to promote sustainable development in both localities.
