On the very first days of August, the construction sites of social housing projects are in busy working atmosphere.

The workers are constructing Dinh Tram Lakeside project.

Thousands of engineers and workers along with a large number of machines and equipment have been mobilised to accelerate construction of various project items.

At Thong Nhat Smart City and Cat Tuong Smart City social housing projects (in Yen Trung commune), the constructors are constructing many apartment buildings, schools, cultural houses, medical stations and sports fields.

These 2 projects cover about 18 hectares consisting of 19 social housing buildings, around 1,900 apartments and integrated auxiliary items.

“6 out of 19 buildings have been accepted and handed over to citizens while the others are being completed, which are expected to bring into use by the end this year”, said Dao Duy Thi, Director of Cat Tuong Construction Company Limited.

The company has mobilised more than 30 subcontractors with around 500 engineers and workers, maintained multiple construction teams working continuously at the sites.

Specialized teams have been assigned to handle specific tasks including concrete work, reinforcement, masonry and plastering, electrical and plumbing systems and interior finishing.

Construction activities are carried out even on weekends and holidays. On rainy days, workers are reassigned to indoor tasks to ensure the schedule.

In line with apartment buildings, the investors have also constructed public works. Particularly, several parking lots have been completed while many sports fields, medical stations, cultural houses and integrated schools have been sped up to form synchronous urban areas.

At the construction site of Dinh Tram Lakeside social housing project in Nenh Ward, the contractor is currently constructing the first 2 residential blocks.

Nearly 70 engineers and workers have been reinforced to work continuously including night shifts to ensure key construction plans are met on schedule.

At the construction site of the social housing project No 2 in southern urban area of Bac Giang ward comprising more than 1,000 apartments, around 600 engineers and workers are working hard to complete final items.

The workers are constructing the fire fighting items at the social housing project No 2 in the southern urban area of Bac Giang ward.

The contractor aims to complete the acceptance and handover of the project in the 4th quarter this year, contributing to expanding the local social housing supply.

During the implementation process, businesses facing difficulties have called on relevant departments, agencies and local authorities to continue supporting investors by shortening the time required for appraisal and acceptance of items eligible for putting into operation.

They also proposed seeking measures to stabilize construction material prices, facilitate credit access and promptly address difficulties arising during implementation of the projects.

With high determination of investors and contractors supported by all-level governments, departments and agencies, social housing projects have been accelerated.

Thousands of new apartments will be soon brought into use, contributing to meeting workers’ housing demand and realizing the province’s targets of developing social housing supply in 2026.
