Bac Ninh: Goertek breaks ground on 100 million USD worker accommodation and public services project

BAC NINH – Goertek Vina Smart Technology Co., Ltd started construction of a 100 million USD worker accommodation and public services project at Nam Son-Hap Linh Industrial Park in Bac Ninh province, as the electronics manufacturer expands welfare facilities for its workforce.

The project will provide more than 1,300 rooms, accommodating around 4,800 employees, experts and management staff, while strengthening the industrial park's supporting service infrastructure.

The groundbreaking ceremony was launched on June 29 and attended by Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee (PPC); Tran Huy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Hoang Anh Tuan, Director General of the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management under the Ministry of Construction.

Goertek said the investment in a modern accommodation complex would not only meet employees' housing needs and improve their quality of life, but also demonstrate the company's long-term commitment to Bac Ninh.

The company said it would mobilise resources, maintain strict quality control and ensure construction safety to complete the project on schedule in the first quarter of 2028.

It also pledged to continue fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and contribute to the province's socio-economic development.

Speaking at the ceremony, PPC Chairman Pham Hoang Son praised Goertek's contributions to Bac Ninh's industrial development, export growth and job creation.

Delegates perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the project.

He said the company's continued investment in worker accommodation and public service facilities reflected investors' confidence in the province's business environment.

The provincial leader reaffirmed the provincial government's commitment to maintaining a stable, transparent and secure investment climate, accelerating administrative reforms and working closely with businesses to resolve investment and operational challenges.

Following the ceremony, provincial leaders, delegates and company representatives performed the groundbreaking ritual for the project.
