The committee on August 11 heard reports on preparations and the progress of tasks assigned to provincial departments and agencies.

The committee has advised the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on nominating personnel to join the national organising committee and has drafted relevant documents, plans and task assignments.

Bac Ninh No. 1 Sports Training and Competition Centre has been instructed to work with the Vietnam Badminton Federation to inspect facilities, equipment and other requirements for the tournament.

It will also coordinate with provincial police, health and education authorities, Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television, and sponsors to ensure security, medical services, environmental sanitation and volunteer support, while promoting the event and completing venue decorations.

Officials discussed preparations for facilities, reception of participating teams, security, medical services, logistics and technical arrangements, and agreed on outstanding tasks to be completed before the tournament.

Agencies were asked to review and update their plans and assignments to ensure no tasks are overlooked before, during or after the tournament, while completing arrangements for security, healthcare, volunteers, transportation, sanitation, electricity and communications.

The Li-Ning Vietnam International Series 2026 will take place from August 18 to 23 at the Bac Ninh Provincial Sports Arena in the southern urban area of Bac Giang Ward. About 25 countries and territories are expected to participate, with more than 300 officials, referees, coaches, medical staff and athletes.
