Bac Ninh takes proactive measures to cope with heavy rain and maintain industrial stability

Updated: 21:42, 12/10/2025

BAC NINH – As heavy rains and floods hit northern Vietnam, Bac Ninh Province has rolled out urgent measures to protect production across its industrial zones, ensuring operations remain stable. Thanks to timely coordination among local authorities, agencies, and businesses, all major dikes have remained intact, and most internal roads have been cleared of water, allowing factories to resume normal activities.

Water levels in low-lying areas of Song Khe – Noi Hoang and Van Trung industrial zones have dropped significantly, leaving only minor stagnant sections. Transportation and logistics have returned to normal, with no disruption to import or export activities.

Thanks to proactive measure, Jeakyung CNC Company Limited ensures stable production.

However, drainage has been slow in parts of the Song Khe – Noi Hoang zone as the Cong Bun pumping station—responsible for the main drainage system—is operating only six of its 14 units due to high water levels in the Thuong River.

Similarly, in Quang Chau Industrial Park, floodwater has backed up into internal roads after the Quang Bieu and Truc Tay pumping stations were shut down because the Cau River exceeded the third alarm level.

Developers of industrial zones along the Cau River, including Yen Phong 2C, Hoa Phu, and Yen Phong II subzones, have worked with local authorities to reinforce dikes, preventing overflow and ensuring production safety as floodwaters recede.

According to the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority, some factories face challenges in clean water supply due to flooding at the DNP Bac Giang Water Plant and Van Trung pumping station. Still, none have had to halt production, as many companies have arranged mobile water supplies.

Authorities have instructed operators to monitor conditions, maintain on-site response teams, and issue early warnings to prevent inundation.

They also urged the agriculture and environment departments to review water levels and partially restart key pumping stations to stop reverse flooding.
