Standing Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee Mai Son receives the flag confirming Bac Ninh as the host of the 25th Vietnam Film Festival in 2027. |
In his remarks, Son said Bac Ninh was honoured to be chosen as host and pledged close coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organise a well-prepared, professional and creative festival worthy of a major national cultural–artistic event.
Beyond ensuring successful arrangements, Bac Ninh also hopes the festival will inspire directors, artists, actors and cinema lovers, he said.
Located in the Kinh Bac region, Bac Ninh is known for its thousand-year cultural heritage and seven UNESCO-recognised treasures. The province offers diverse natural landscapes as well as centuries-old craft villages, leading industrial zones, sacred Buddhist spaces and vibrant young urban areas alongside peaceful rural communities.
These elements create an “open studio,” combining ancient and contemporary beauty and offering ideal conditions for domestic and international filmmakers.
Hosting the 25th Vietnam Film Festival underscores Bac Ninh’s status as a dynamic locality with strong cultural identity and the capacity to organise major national events. The festival will also provide an opportunity to promote Bac Ninh’s cultural image, boost tourism and services, and support the growth of cultural industries.
The event is expected to attract visitors, artists and film producers, opening up new opportunities for cooperation, investment and the showcasing of the province’s rich cultural values.
