Tourism revenue reached an estimated 4.75 trillion VND (208.4 million USD), an increase of 58% year-on-year and equivalent to 99% of the full-year plan for 2025. Average accommodation occupancy stood at 55-65%.

Officials attributed the growth to the successful organization of cultural and tourism events that helped promote the province’s image and stimulate domestic travel demand.

Key highlights included the Bac Giang Culture and Tourism Week and the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival 2025, as well as the Bac Ninh “Ceramics and Traditional Craft Villages” Tourism Week.

The province also drew visitors through the “Hanoi Train – Hanoi Five Gates” tourism train service linking Hanoi with Bac Ninh, alongside promotional campaigns at home and abroad.

From now until the end of the year, Bac Ninh plans to implement further measures to boost tourism and prepare for the Bac Ninh Culture and Tourism Week in 2026.

Authorities are also drafting a master plan for tourism development for the 2026-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 that aims to turn tourism into a spearhead sector of the provincial economy.

HCM City emerges as leading regional destination

According to the City Pulse 2025 survey by the Gensler Research Institute, HCM City ranked second globally in resident retention, ahead of Singapore, Sydney, and Berlin. The survey of over 33,000 people in 65 cities that measured satisfaction and emotional connections like belonging and pride.
