The tournament, held from September 18 to 25, was organized by Vietnam Sports Administration and the National Center for Training Young Athletes.

Judokas Dam Duy Ky and Nguyen Minh Hoan (center podium) receive the gold medal in the Kodokan Goshin Jutsu kata event.

It brought together 350 competitors from 26 clubs across 16 provinces, cities and sectors. Athletes competed in both individual weight categories and kata performance disciplines.

Bac Ninh sent 10 judokas to the event and achieved strong results against some of the country’s best clubs.

The gold medal came in the Kodokan Goshin Jutsu kata discipline, with judokas Dam Duy Ky and Nguyen Minh Hoan taking the top spot.

Silver medals went to Nguyen Xuan Ton and Nguyen Cong Ha in Katame no Kata; Dao Chung Nguyen in the men’s 78kg division; and Nguyen Thi Thom in the women’s 44kg category.

Bronze medals were awarded to Tran Minh Duc in the men’s 50kg division, and the pair of Nguyen Cong Ha and Dam Duy Ky in Kime no Kata.

The championship was considered the final national-level judo tournament of the year, providing athletes with opportunities to test their skills, gain competition experience and strengthen their performance ahead of international competitions.
