Bac Ninh welcomes over 300,000 arrivals on New Year holiday
BAC NINH- The 2026 New Year holiday lasted 4 days (from 1 to 4 January) with series of cultural, artistic and tourism activities taking place in different localities in the province. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Bac Ninh welcomed over 300,000 arrivals during the 4-day holiday with the occupancy rate in accommodations reaching from 55 to 65 percent.
Dau pagoda and But Thap pagoda (in Tri Qua ward), Bo Da pagoda (in Van Ha ward), Vinh Nghiem pagoda (in Tan An ward) and Do temple (in Tu Son ward) are the most attractive destinations.

Particularly, Do Temple special national relic received more than 1,000 visitors each day to offer incense in remembrance of the kings in the Ly dynasty, take part in experiential activities, enjoy quan ho folk singing performances on boats and purchase local specialties.
Bac Ninh Museum No 2 welcomed over 3,000 arrivals during the 4-day holiday.
In line with visiting the exhibits and learning about cultural and historical tradition of the Kinh Bac – Bac Ninh region, tourists could experience printing Dong Ho folk paintings and Buddhism woodblocks, making pottery and wearing quan ho costumes as well as taking part in folk games like pot smashing, stilt walking, mandarin square capturing, sack jumping, bamboo dance and tug of war.
Ecological tourism sites also attracted a large number of families, school groups and young people to come for recreation, sightseeing and hands-on experiences.
Remarkably, Bau Tien Lake tourist site (in Phuong Son ward) received around 1,000 to 2,000 arrivals each day, Ban Ven Xanh (Green Ven Village) eco-tourism site (in Xuan Luong commune), Vuon Cuoc Song (Life Garden) community-based tourism site (in Thuan Thanh ward), Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex (in Tay Yen Tu commune), Van Hoa Ho Va tourism site (in Luc Nam commune) and Dong Ho folk painting conservation center (in Thuan Thanh ward) welcomed 300 to 500 visitors each day.
On this occasion, many localities also organized variety of culture and art activities to celebrate a joyful new year.
These figures demonstrated that Bac Ninh tourism has become more attractive, emerging as an appealing destination and making a positive contribution to the province’s socio-economic development.
