Chinese firms explore energy storage, AI infrastructure investment in Bac Ninh
BAC NINH - Chinese businesses are exploring investment opportunities in energy storage and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in northern Bac Ninh province.
Pham Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, hosted a meeting with a delegation of Chinese enterprises led by Pang Gangzhi, Chairman of Anxin Group Co., Ltd., to discuss policies related to energy storage, AI computing infrastructure, power supply capacity and industrial park resources on May 27.

Pang said Chinese investors viewed Bac Ninh as an attractive and transparent investment destination after consulting with Chinese companies already operating in the province.
The delegation focused discussions on the development orientation for high-performance computing and green energy storage, investment attraction policies, incentives for high-tech projects, and next-generation digital infrastructure, he said.

At the meeting, the provincial Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh highlighted Bac Ninh’s recent socio-economic growth and investment attraction achievements, noting the province is among Vietnam’s leading localities in administrative reform and competitiveness.
According to provincial authorities, around 30,000 Chinese experts, workers and businesspeople are currently living and working in Bac Ninh.
To strengthen its competitiveness, the province is investing in transport, rail, electricity and telecommunications infrastructure to support high-tech industries and the digital economy.
Bac Ninh has identified the semiconductor industry as a strategic development priority while also expanding green industries, clean energy and renewable energy projects, including rooftop solar and wind power.

The province is also promoting the development of data centers, computing hubs and AI infrastructure as part of its strategy to build a digital economy and high-tech industrial base.
The provincial leader expressed hope that Chinese enterprises would continue studying and expanding investment projects in Bac Ninh.
