Bac Ninh launches free mass health screening programme
BAC NINH - Implementing Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Directive No. 17/CT-TTg issued by the Prime Minister, the Bac Ninh Department of Health has instructed medical units across the province to urgently roll out free periodic health check-ups and screening programmes for residents no later than May 19, 2026.
Under the plan, public and private hospitals, clinics, and commune and ward health stations will coordinate with local authorities to conduct large-scale community screening campaigns.

The programme will focus on the early detection of non-communicable diseases, community tuberculosis screening, thalassemia testing, cancer screening, mental health examinations, health checks for people with disabilities and children under six years old, as well as eye, dental and oral diseases and other illnesses.
For children under six, health examinations will be integrated into regular expanded immunisation sessions at local health stations beginning May 20.
For students, health stations will work with schools to organise medical check-ups in line with school healthcare regulations.
The periodic health screening programme will be implemented in accordance with Circular No. 32/2023/TT-BYT issued by the Ministry of Health, ensuring all required clinical and paraclinical procedures are conducted under professional standards.
